The Campaign

The campaign focused on creating engaging automotive-themed digital PR campaigns built around unique data insights and public information sources.

Using FOI requests and publicly available datasets, we developed a series of campaigns exploring topics relevant to UK drivers, including “The UK’s Speeding Hotspots”, “The Easiest/Hardest Places to Pass Your Driving Test”, and “The UK’s Most Instagrammable Road Trips”.

Each campaign was supported by creative landing pages featuring interactive maps, infographics, and visual assets designed to maximise engagement, encourage media interest, and strengthen TempCover’s position within the automotive sector.

The Approach

Our approach combined data-driven storytelling with strategic creative execution to develop campaigns that were both newsworthy and aligned with TempCover’s brand.

We identified opportunities where unique insights could generate media interest, using research, data analysis, and compelling narratives to create standout content. Our design team developed supporting campaign assets to enhance shareability and journalist appeal.

We then used targeted digital PR outreach to secure coverage across relevant media outlets, focusing on high-authority publications that could improve brand awareness, link equity, and organic visibility.

The Results

The campaign delivered record-breaking results for TempCover, securing 222 pieces of earned media coverage and high-quality SEO-boosting links from authoritative publications.

Coverage was secured across leading titles including The Mirror, The Sun, Daily Express, The Scotsman, and The Yorkshire Evening Post, with 45 placements achieving a Domain Authority average of 60+. The activity contributed to significant improvements in organic traffic, Domain Authority, and Trust Flow, helping TempCover improve rankings and support policy sales.

During the Speeding Hotspots campaign alone, TempCover saw an increase of over 10,000 organic monthly website visitors between March and April 2021.
