Every year, more than 30,000 people from every corner of the iGaming community take to London’s ExCeL for the biggest event in the calendar. With 2019 seeing a massive increase in attendance of more than 10% on last year, ICE Totally Gaming is still growing in popularity. Attendees travel from an impressive 150 different countries to take part in the event, and it’s never one to be missed.
ICE is the flagship event in the iGaming calendar, where iGaming professionals and industry experts go to meet, showcase and enjoy a drink (or five) at the end of the day. We always enjoy the trip down to the capital, as it’s a perfect chance to meet clients, visit our friends and catch up on the latest advancements and updates in the industry. This year did not disappoint. The event takes over the whole of the ExCeL, which has a leg-aching total space of over 100,000 square metres. You can usually expect to walk anywhere between 20,000 and 40,000 steps in just one day as you make you way around the exhibition, visiting the incredible stands and product showcases throughout.
One of my favourite aspects of ICE Totally Gaming is the wide variety of suppliers and brands that take to the floor. From casino furniture designers, professional eSports brands, game providers and software developers, there isn’t an area of the iGaming world left untouched. Some of our highlights included BetConstruct’s live five-a-side match and live commentary (hosted by ICS’s very own Warren Ashurst), the nail-biting live CS:GO tournament hosted by GG.bet and Nsoft’s surreal identity recognition software, which was able to take a scan of your face from 100m away and work out your age and height.
The London Affiliate Conference always follows ICE Totally Gaming, taking over another section of the ExCeL (yes, it is that big.) LAC brings together affiliates, iGaming experts and brokers from the retail finance industry and is always a great place to meet people in the industry.
There are always a few famous faces present across ICE and LAC and this year was no exception. We had the opportunity to meet the Mayor of London, Sadiq Kahn, and Poland’s strongest man turned MMA fighter, Mariusz Pudzianowski. Not to mention we got to meet Columbian football legend, Carlos Valderrama and received some crucial tips for the office five-a-side next Tuesday.
ICE and LAC give us the opportunity to meet up with some of our clients and to introduce ourselves to prospective clients who are interested in finding out more about what we can do for them. We work with some of the biggest names in iGaming and having a presence at these events is crucial for maintaining our reputation in the industry. It’s only 354 days until 2020’s event and we can’t wait. See you at the show!
