SEO Executive
We have a fantastic opportunity available for an SEO Executive, sitting within the SEO team at ICS. Whether you're an established Executive looking to further your career, or looking to kickstart your career in digital marketing - we'd love to hear from you!
You will work to complete link placement (off-page SEO) orders and content campaigns (on-page SEO) from start to finish by sourcing and coordinating backlinks, ordering content from our copywriters and ensuring the successful third-party publication of content. There will also be an opportunity to independently handle small accounts, building experience in client relations and account management.
The role:
- Contract: Permanent, full-time
- Salary: £24,000 - £27,500 (depending on experience)
- Hybrid-working
- Maintain an excellent overview of your SEO campaigns and demonstrate strategic skills to complete orders.
- Source and outreach to relevant domains to complete campaign orders, working with SEO Managers to create and deliver on new strategies and techniques in this area.
- Demonstrate accountability for your campaigns, providing feedback on webmaster partnerships and content, and vocalising perceived obstacles with suggested solutions.
- Recommend and prospect relevant domains for SEO campaigns.
- Request articles in line with resource plans, project timelines and content requirements.
- Distribute approved articles to webmasters for publication and report on the live URL.
- Monitor and analyse client backlinks and keyword rankings through SEO tools like Ahrefs, Majestic, Moz and Semrush.
- Review content with an understanding of basic content optimisation and on-site SEO principles prior to client delivery.
- Hold timely communication with webmasters and troubleshoot challenging queries they may have.
- Attend and contribute to team meetings to ensure the smooth running of campaigns.
- With the support of SEO Managers, hold 1-2 small accounts, with responsibilities including client communication, forecasts and closing on time.
- Remain aware of and provide commentary on personal and team monthly KPIs
- Continually improve SEO knowledge and expertise, sharing insights with the team, taking an innovative approach, staying ahead of trends and evaluating emerging technologies

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with personnel at all levels
- Good presentation skills and outstanding interpersonal abilities
- A driven, proactive mindset with a willingness to learn quickly
- Proven time-management and organisation skills with the ability to self-motivate
- Ability to embrace change to client demands, internal KPIs and processes
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in a digital marketing agency, in a fast-paced environment
- An understanding of content marketing and SEO
- Working knowledge of SEO tools such as Semrush, Moz, Majestic and Ahrefs
- Data analysis
