Senior SEO Manager
We require a skilled and proactive Senior SEO Manager to support the SEO Lead in overseeing team management, project delivery, and driving successful campaigns for the SEO team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to SEO strategies, take ownership of team and project management, and strengthen client relationships through effective account management. Key objectives include implementing SEO strategies driven by client goals, fostering strong client relationships, and ensuring seamless collaboration between team members. The role will play a crucial part in developing the team’s skills, embedding best practices, and improving overall efficiency to support the growth of our SEO offering.
The role:
- Contract: Permanent, full-time
- Salary: £37,500 - £44,000 (depending on experience)
- Hybrid-working
- Role responsibilities split between project management and execution, team management, strategy, account management and learning and development
- Maintain a strong overview of current SEO campaigns, overseeing SEO managers in the effective execution and delivery of orders while being available to provide hands-on support where required.
- Regularly assist SEO managers in carrying out audits of clients’ SEO strategies; offering recommendations in line with their business goals as well as specific organic acquisition KPIs.
- Lead weekly Team Sprints to ensure the smooth running of campaigns and implement actions to exceed targets.
- Have a comprehensive overview of outreach and prospecting needs and oversee managers in assigning priorities as effectively as possible.
- Ability to hold own accounts that span several SEO services, while being available as an escalation point for clients.
- Responsible for the effective line management of SEO Managers
- Oversee and support SEO Managers in the definition and regular review of prospecting and outreach strategies for off-page SEO campaigns, including advice on optimal prospecting strategies (and associated research / SEO tools) and negotiation techniques.
- Dedicate time to testing new techniques and methods for prospecting and outreach, based on independent research into industry trends.
Requirements:
- Results-oriented, with the ability to work under pressure and towards tight deadlines
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to manage data and create client reports
- Experience in a client-facing environment, with the ability to lead client calls/meetings
- Excellent commercial awareness
- Expertise in technical SEO, on-page SEO, content production and off-page SEO, with a passion for delivering strategies and results for clients
- Excellent working knowledge of major SEO, reporting and web analytics tools
- Lead by example - empowering junior members of the team, delivering workshops and supporting their development
- Outstanding prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage time effectively on your own accounts, as well as others
